Erin Bua has lived in the Lowcountry for 37 years, developing an in-depth understanding of the area and its communities. Her extensive understanding of the area allows her to expertly navigate neighborhoods, market trends, and lifestyle opportunities. This local expertise naturally translates into her work, where she has been serving clients as a licensed Realtor since 2018.

Erin is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and The Citadel, where she earned her Master’s Degree. Before transitioning into real estate, Erin dedicated 28 years to the Charleston County School District. She served as a highly respected elementary school counselor, plus a first & second-grade teacher. Her decorated educational career includes being named Teacher of the Year-three times at three different schools. She also earned a Top Five Teacher of the Year distinction for the entire district in 2019—an honor awarded just one year before her retirement.

Her background in education cultivated an exceptional ability to listen attentively, clearly explain complex information, and advocate effectively—qualities that serve buyers and sellers exceptionally well throughout the real estate process.

A passionate advocate for service, Erin is widely recognized for her leadership and commitment to the Charleston community. In 2016, she received the prestigious National Jefferson Award for her extensive community service work. Her service work underscores a deep commitment to community involvement and public service, reflected through sustained engagement and leadership within local initiatives.

Erin is the proud mother of 19-year-old twins who have successfully launched into their secondary endeavors. Her son is completing a mission work internship in the Clemson area. Her daughter is a student and college athlete at the University of West Florida in Pensacola. Erin is a devoted animal advocate, volunteering with several local animal rescue organizations. She also enjoys attending church, playing pickleball, walking, and reading.
